Bleach - Game 1 - Assault on Seireitei

Gin spared a glance over his shoulder to look at the speaker "I would have stopped the fight with Urahara the moment I felt Toushiro die, but he had already launched his attack and it didn't appear as though he would be persuaded to desist, so why would I kill someone I no longer wished to fight in the first place, knocking him out was the fastest solution, now leave me be", Ichimau was annoyed by this constant persitence of those few, wishing they would allow him to run in peace.

Hanatarou catches up to where the unnamed threat lay, unconscious. "I-I'm not sure what we should do with him. It would be safest to kill him, but what if there's another like him? Studying him could be for the best. Hitsugaya was coming around the second day after Tousen's attack, so I'd assume the same for this one, too..."

"This is crazy," thinks Uryuu, "I should defend."

General, if you think interrogation and study is the best option, then I am forced to agree. Now, if you don't mind, there are some intruders that I might as well attend to. Unless you are revoking our order to bring them in in light of this new threat?

While he is defending Ichigo looks away towards the group of Shinigami gathered around the fallen Bount. He can just barely see them from where he's standing, but it appears that one of the captains is trying to shift attention away from the Bount crisis and towards the elimination of Ryoka. Ichigo is stunned by his rashness, considering how pressing the issue of the Bount is. Do they really think there's only one Bount? Idiots. Don't they realize that there are Bount hidden within their own ranks? They're just biding their time, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

All this passes in a few moments, and soon Kurosaki returns his attention to his defense.

Fairly irritated at the fact that he was attacked for defending his captain who Urahara had attacked and barely standing; Izuru grips his zanpakutou and takes something resembling a defensive stance. He had more pressing things on his mind then the ryoka's justification of their attack. It was obvious now that these ryoka were not behind the attack on captain Hitsugaya. If anything it looks like they were here to eliminate the ones who were. "Heal your comrade, I have no desire to fight with any of you but I will defend the captain if anyone sees fit to attack him again." Izuru fell to his knees as more blood poured from his mouth. Barely conscious now, he would have to try to join up with the captain at a later date.

Isane reaches Tousen and the others. Seeing the fallen creature, she turns to General Yamamoto,"I may be out of place, but this thing did dispatch of Hitsugaya-taisa and, as one of the ryoka (Orihime) has said, we must dispose of his body should we wish to retrieve Hitsugaya-taisa's soul. Only then can he be revived. And, personally, I don't think we have time to wait...I highly doubt there only one of these here."

She waits impatiently for the group to decide on what to do.

(Smythe...are you allowed to intervene and change opinion as the game host? Seems unorthodox)

He was giving us a new option that we didn't have open to us before, I believe.

Isane nods to Tousen, the suggestion being clear.

"Ah, forgive me. Well, then shall we put it to a vote between those here? I vote for Renji to finish off the creature. I shall remain of this persuasion unless the ryoka Orihime says some ritual must be performed to retrieve the soul of Hitsugaya-taisa. If merely his death is required to revive Hitsugaya-taisa, I'd rather have it over before his forked tongue can tell us any lies...I wouldn't trust him to tell us anything in truth no matter the consequences/torture he might undergo."

Renji, this is a decision for those of higher status than you to make. General Yamamoto has spoken. That is all that needs to be said. Let Mayuri attend to the assassin, and let us turn our attention to the Ryoka.

Byakuya leaves the group and heads towards Ichigo and his party.

Isane turns to Byakuya as he is leaving and says,"I apologize for speaking out of turn, but this creature did not allow Hitsugaya a chance to defend himself and slew him without mercy...I see no reason to give this thing such a courtesy as a fair trial."

She pauses hearing no reply and adds,"And I would also be keen to watch your actions around the ryoka...keeping them on our side may be in our best interests."

She turns back to Renji,"I suggest keeping your blade close at hand and ready to strike the creature...no telling what may happen if we let our guard down."

Gin, Yachiru and Rangiku stand defensively around Kira, staring the Shinigami down. The tension is suddenly broken by little Yachiru jumping down from Gin's head. "This is getting boring. I'm gonna go find Ken-chan," she yawns, wandering away.

Gin lowers his sword next, sensing that the Ryoka aren't going to make any more aggressive moves. "Go ahead and heal your man," Gin says. "Then come here and take care of Kira."

Without taking her eyes off the Captain, Orihime places her hands over Urahara's body. "Souten Kisshun, I reject," she says, and the warm golden glow envelops the ex-captain, making his wounds seem to melt away. He sits up, suddenly sucking in his breath, then chuckles to himself and stands up.

Tipping his hat forward, Kisuke grins at Kira. "Nice shot, man. But good luck doing that to me again."

Back on the rooftops, Renji and Zaraki stand side by side with Tousen over the fallen body of Hitsugaya's murderer, with zanpakutou drawn, ready to skewer the unconscious enemy.

"Wait!" comes a command from nearby. All on the rooftops turn to see none other than General Yamamoto, his long white beard flowing in the wind, leaning on his cane. "We must not be hasty. There is likely more here than meets the eye. We will lock the intruder in Senzaikyu for now. We will decide in Seireitei what will be his fate."

Renji looked appalled by this decision. "But General! He's too--" One look from the General was all it took to silence Renji... a look that seemed as if a hint of fiery anger burned behind it. No one argued with the General... No one.

"Come," said Yamamoto, motioning to two Shinigami guards who promptly haul the unconscious prisoner away by the arms.

"Sir, beg your pardon," says Tousen, bowing respectfully to the General. "What of the other Ryoka?"

Yamamoto taps his cane against the ground. "They may still be involved in this," he sighs. "And besides... we can't have Ryoka running wild around Seireitei. Place them under arrest. And have them brought to Senzaikyu as well, until we can figure out what to do with them. If they resist, well..." He shrugs, "Then they resist." With this, Yamamoto lifts his hand into the air. There is a brief disturbance of spiritual pressure, then, suddenly, hundreds of Hell Butterflies appear out of thin air and scatter throughout Seireitei.

About to resheathe his zanpakutou, Gin notices one of these Hell Butterflies gliding out of the air. He reaches out his hand, letting it land on his fingers. Its wings glow blue and Gin listens to its message, then smiles mischievously. "It seems we have new orders from the top," he grins, letting the butterfly flutter off. "Looks like we're to take Firehead here and lock him and his pals up in Senzaikyu with that other guy and Kuchiki's little sister."

"R... Rukia," Ichigo's eyes shoot open, suddenly remembering that Rukia had been imprisoned for giving him her powers.

"So," Gin smirks, pointing his blade back at the five Ryoka. "Are ya gonna come quietly?"

Rankigu takes an offensive position as well, and even Kira manages to pull himself to his feet.

NOTE: ABOUT THE CHARACTER OF GENERAL YAMAMOTO
I'm more than just the narrator, I'm also a player. :3

General Yamamoto is a perfectly valid target for attack and special ability use, for any of y'all that are crazy enough to try it. I've given myself set stats and abilities as well. Keep in mind that doing so would likely be suicide, as the General can paralyze a Lieutenant-rank Shinigami with little more than a glance and a rush of spirit pressure, and can, in fact, take on two of the most powerful Captains in Seireitei without breaking a sweat. Also, attacking the General would be unquestionably Treason and would likely result in execution by Soukyoku, even if you managed to win.

This just isn't my day. Izuru thinks to himself, still badly wounded. He climbs to his feet again and looks towards the ryoka. He hoped that they would come along quietly so that things could be resolved peacefully now that Hitsugaya's killer had been captured.

Urahara stretches. Healing has always left him feeling stiff, as though some part of the process involves moving energy around from his uninjured parts.

Whoo... that was a close one. Let's remember to not get cleft in twain again soon, shall we?

Urahara grins. Life is such a giddy mystery. Now, it appears, his work is made more clear.

"I will follow. I would very much like to have a bit of a look-see at this Mysterious Enemy myself. Perhaps it is not half so mysterious as believed."

Urahara does not join, but follows the group where they go next.

This is your last opportunity to come quietly to the Senzaikyu. If you lay down your weapons and surrender you may yet live.

Byakuya defends after threatening the Ryoka.

I suppose I'll be joining Gin in taking in the Ryoka.
Hanatarou, you ought to come with me in case there's some struggle.

Isane sighs.

"Very well, General Yamamoto's word is final then. I will go with the current group to Senzaikyu to make sure the prisoner does not escape. I would very much appreciate any more help to ensure that, if there are more of these enemies, they do not appear to break their comrade out of prison."

Gin pushed the Shinigami who wanted to bring the Ryoka in by force, before even seeing if they would come willingly. He walked up to the Ryoka ranks, hoping they weren't foolish enough to attack him infront of the shinigami behind him.
"If you Ryoka will so kindly come with us willingly, then we will not have to engage you in combat, and you may survive, for if the entire mass of shinigami is forced to attack you, then we shall win. And I'm almost positive you'd rather come with us without proving yourselves our enemies, which will surely lead to your execution or imprisonment" Gin bowed his head to the Ryoka, leaving himself open, shoud they be foolish enough to prove themselves as enemies they'll have a dead captain to explain for.

After hearing Tousen's words, Hanatarou hesitated for a second, then nodded. "J-Just as long as we're careful. I still don't trust the fiery one from the last time I met him. I'll JOIN Gin as well."

While he's engaged in a staring contests with Gin, Ichigo suddenly feels a strong urge to sneeze.

"Ichigo, there is no use in resisting, we can't take them all. For now, we should just let them pass judgment and hope for the best".

Wishing he could resist, but realizing that it was a futile effort, Ichigo began to agree with Ishida. "Alright, fine." he said, speaking to Gin, "We'll do it your way. But don't think I'm happy about this."

Shuhei follows his Captain's example, JOINING Captain Ichimaru and his GROUP in escorting the Ryoka. One hand always remains near his blade, as if expecting the orange-haired Shinigami lookalike or one of his companions to suddenly attempt to break loose.

Renji felt frustrated about the general´s choice of letting the assasin´s leave, but he knew there was nothing he could do or say against it, instead, he decided to follow the guards that were locking the intruder and keep an eye on him, the ryoka threat seemed to be under control for now, and he thought it was best to be near the mysterious figure in case he attempted to make an escape.

"I'll come along. However, as it is very important to me, I must first keep my word."

She heals Izuru Kira of all his wounds.

"I will now follow the rest of my current group."

Still watching the ryoka carefully Izuru bows his head and lets out a "Thank you. If you truly mean us no harm then you have nothing to fear."

My, but I am feeling sentimental seeing this place again. I should check some things.

The hike is but a merry jaunt to the freshly-healed Urahara. Every cobblestone, every vista, and every corner is an old friend he hasn't seen in a century. He is enjoying himself so much, in fact, that he momentarily forgets the urgent business precipitating his return to his old stomping grounds. It is only with a conscious effort that he manages to remind himself of the serious nature of his visit.

"Hey!", Urahara yells to the front of the column, "Will there be snacks when we get there? I have a powerful hunger!"

It occurs to him, ironically, that his hunger is not merely biological.

There will be a reckoning. I will pay my pound of flesh just the same as everyone else.

The ryoka were co-operating at least, for now. Something still didn't sit right with Izuru. For now he would just have to follow his captain's lead while he thought on recent events.

Orihime, as promised, places her hands over Kira's body. There is a flash of golden light, and suddenly Kira's wounds aren't there anymore.

"A... amazing...," Kira says, somewhat shocked. Even the tear in his Shinigami uniform had been repaired. "Th... thank you, miss."

Orihime simply nods, then stands up and silently follows Ichigo and her friends off to Senzaikyu, accompanied by Byakuya, Gin, Hanatarou, Isane, Tousen, Renji, Kira and Hisagi.

Roughly, Byakuya yanks Zangetsu and Benehime out of the hands of Ichigo and Urahara. "Hey!" snaps Ichigo.

"We'll be holding onto these for now," Byakuya states coolly. Ichigo just glares at the Captain, but says nothing. Urahara doesn't seem to be bothered at all.

The door to Senzaikyu opens, and Tousen calls inside. "You," he says at the mysterious intruder, standing there. "Come with us. Your execution has been ordered."

Without a word, his hands over his head, the mysterious murderer trades spots with the Ryoka, and the Shinigami group marches him off to Soukyoku as the door to Senzaikyu closes, leaving the Ryoka sealed inside.

The white haired murderer smiles wickedly towards the shinigamis around him. "And what if I refuse to die a gracefully as you wish?"

"Then you will die right there where you stand! you bastard!"

Renji takes out zabimaru, and prepares for any move that the mysterious murderer would try to make.

"I could have killed you earlier, and i will do so now if you give me the slightest reason!"

Renji, put your zanpakto away. If your enemy can so easily enrage you, you will always place the fight in their hands.

Rangiku walked toward renji. If you wish to finish him off please let me join you you.
She draws her weopon waiting for anything.

"Hey!" shouts Urahara, loudly banging on the door of Senzaikyu. "Hey! I need to talk to that guy real quick!! HEY!!!"

The white-haired murderer starts laughing. Enraged, Renji pulls out his Zanpakuto. "Shut the hell up, you freak!" Renji shouts as he viciously slashes his blade across the killer's chest. A fierce spray of blood soils the man's shirt and coat and seems to weaken his knees a little.

"Renji!" Byakuya snaps. "That was a direct disregard of my orders," he says calmly, with an obvious overtone of icy anger.

Renji glares back at his captain. "Sorry," he mumbles. "I just..."

"You will return to 6th Division headquarters," Byakuya continues. "Now. You will be punished for this insubordination."

"B... but Captain!" Renji sputters.

"But nothing," Byakuya continues coldly. "Disobedience is not something I tolerate. Most certainly not from someone of the rank of Lieutenant."

"Heh... heh heh...." Byakuya's words are interrupted by a hissing sword of laughter coming from the condemned man being propped up by the shoulders by Tousen and Gin.

"You...," the man hisses. "You... heh, heh... you have no idea who I am... do you..."

And with that, there appears to be something long and thin in his hand, appearing out of nowhere. Before anyone can react, the man twists his arm, driving it deep into Kaname Tousen's chest. It appears to be a needle of some sort.

"W... what did you... do... to... me...," Tousen manages to mumble before collapsing to the ground totally unconscious.

There is a sudden strike of lightning from the sky, sending Gin and Hanatarou flying. Renji points his blade at the man, and Byakuya, Shuhei, and Isane draw theirs as well.

"I am Kariya Jin, of the Bount!" the white-haired man shouts as a maelstrom of wind and lightning surrounds him, sending debris flying through the crowd of Shinigami around him, blood still spilling from the gaping wound in his chest. "We have lived on for ages... so long that our countless memories have long turned to ashes! And we are here to destroy you all!"

"We'll have to delay your punishment for now, Renji," Byakuya sighs, eyeing the Bount with deadly seriousness.
