Wonderful. Even the curriculum is out to get me today Sachi grumbled to herself looking up at the chalkboard. She flopped forward letting her chin rest on the warm wooden surface of the desk with her her arms resting in front of her. It wasn't an expecially comfortable way to sit, but on the bright side the brim of her hat now rather satisfyingly blocked her view of the board.

The offending list of names in particular.

Cripes, who knew those people had a captian as a relative?...It doen't matter anyway, This makes it obvious I'm still not suited to be one of them anyway

Of course the downside to having her hat obscure the what Isane was writing, was that it meant she'd have to actually listen if she was going to take notes. Ew. Nothing against Isane herself, but when would Sachi ever need to know the chronicalogic-whatnot, life and time of all these captains? Sighing she finally tuned herself in to what Isane was saying, and started to take notes.

Well perhaps "notes" wasn't the best word for it. To the untrained eye the mixture of ideas repersent by little doodles and gnarled handwriting probably looked more like hieroglyphs than anything else

Rumiko listened carefully. It bothered her when she was unable to understand something, so she stayed attentive. It didn't particularly interest her, though it was important to understand how the Gotei 13 functioned, what had it running as "smoothly" as it had been for so long. Today didn't seem to give as much useful information as she would have hoped; it only spoke of the past. The past was not as important, she believed, as the future.

Something Kotetsu had said piqued her interest, though. 1 shinigami for every 200000 people living on Earth, hmm? Well, apparently the numbers had shifted, as she had said, but still. THe number was staggering. That meant that, for a population of 6 billion living souls, there would be...Rumiko squinted her eyes as she did the math quickly in her head...30000 shinigami at any given point in time. But that can't be right...she thought, brow furrowed in contemplation. The rest of Kotetsu-sensei's lecture went unfortunately unheeded.

It seemed impossible that there were 30000 shinigami. And if that were the case, why would they need to continue training new shinigami every year like this if there were only 30000? Did that many shinigami die every year doing their jobs? Rumiko tapped the pads of her fingers against her desk quietly, her eyes sliding shut. Her lack of sleep was catching up to her, it seemed.

The most pressing question for her, however, was not about how many shinigami died. What happened to them once that happened? Was there anything past Soul Society, other than Hell? Were there levels to the afterlife? Her eyes, heavy with exhaustion, were fixed ahead at the board, but her mind was wandering.

Byouko tuned out the teacher and looked down, peering through the novel she had hidden behind her textbook. Kotetsu-sensei was just reading the textbook practically verbatim, and of course Byouko had already read it from cover to cover. Her notebook sat, untouched, underneath everything. Byouko never took notes; she never really needed to. It seemed silly to rewrite things down when everything she read stuck in her mind like... like a building block.

That's what it was like, building blocks. Every book, every page, every word, every letter Byouko read was like another block in the walls of the great castle of knowledge in her mind. That's why she loved to read so much. Byouko kept putting brick after brick after brick in there, and so far none of them had fallen out. Sometimes, offhand, Byouko wondered if she'd ever reach a limit to how big she could build the castle of her mind. But she didn't think about it too much. There were still more books to read. Many, many more books.

Ken'ichi... Donosei. First capt. of 11th Div., Sarah frantically scribbled down in her notes. Nobody would ever be able to say that Sarah Yadoumaru took anything but the most impeccable notes. Every word Kotetsu-sensei spoke went down as Sarah's pencil moved at rapid fire pace over the pages of her notebook. No one would be able to say she hadn't at least tried. Even if she wasn't the student that her sis--

Sarah bit her lip. That was the one thing she didn't like about history class. Eventually, they'd get to that part of history, not that Sarah needed any help knowing exactly what had happed 100 years ago.

Her sister, Lisa, along with several other Lieutenants and Captains, had been transformed into a Hollow by the mad scientist Kisuke Urahara. Lisa had been the lieutenant of 8th Division back then, and after banishing Urahara and his cohorts from Soul Society, the Council of 46 had decreed that all the transformed Shinigami be...

They will be dealt with as Hollows!

Sarah's grip tightened on her pencil. She couldn't comprehend it. Her sister, Lisa, being turned into a mindless, bloodthirsty Hollow. What must that have felt like? What was Lisa thinking when it was happening? What must she have gone through? Sarah shook her head. She realized that her eyes were starting to tear up. It had been a while since she'd allowed herself to think about Lisa.

She took a few deep breaths. Hopefully she hadn't missed too much of what the teacher had said. Sarah went back to diligently taking notes, letting one last thought cross her mind.

I'll never forgive Kisuke Urahara...

...Never.

Matsuura Ryou wrote:
"Ah.... Kotetsu-sensei, if Donosei-sama was so great, how come he's no longer around?"

"That's a very good question, Ryou-san," said Isane. "Which brings us to our next point."

She turned and wrote on the board: Second Reckoning, 666 A.D.

"Around this time," said Isane, "Christianity was fast becoming the Earth's dominant religion, and as it grew, it forced out the older folk religions. Christians themselves were refining spiritual powers of their own in the form of rituals like exorcism. One Christian group in particular would eventually rival the Shinigami in sheer spiritual energy, but we'll talk about that when the time comes."

"The number 666 is a fairly auspicious number in the Christian religion, and In Soul Society around this time, 2nd Division's recon unit had been warning of an unnatural spike in the numbers of Hollows being found in the dangai between worlds. Theoretically, the work of Shinigami on Earth should have reduced the Hollows' numbers greatly, so why? However, most of these findings were dismissed. And it was on January 1, 666 that the Hollows in the dangai managed to tear through the barriers protecting Soul Society. This was the first encounter with the enormous, fierce Hollows we now call Menos Grande. The hordes of Hollows clogging the dangai merged with each other, forming the first Gillians, and these Gillians led a force of Hollows estimated at over 50,000 in a rampant wave of destruction through Soul Society."

"The Gotei were caught completely off guard. The Hollows wiped Rukongai district after Rukongai district off the map, along with any Shinigami unfortunate enough to be sent to the front lines. Jun Kuchiki's 6th and Kamisuke Shihouin's 2nd Divisions were the first mobilized, and the Menos Grande wiped them all out, nearly down to the last man. Jun Kuchiki was slain in this first assault, Kamisuke Shihouin survived for a short time, then died later in 4th Division's hospital. The 3rd, 5th, and 9th Divisions surrounded Seireitei and managed to keep the Hollows out of the Shinigami's realm, but that didn't do anything to help Rukongai. Some of the more high level nobles in Seireitei suggested that Rukongai could just be left to burn so long as Seireitei was safe, but naturally that didn't sit will with some of the non-noble Captains like Captain Ukitate and Captain Unohana."

"The newest Captain, Ken'ichi Donosei, suggested using the combined forces of 3rd and 11th Divisions augmented by the kidou from 5th and 9th Divisions as a wedge to cut through the masses of lesser Hollows to let the Captains and Lieutentants of the Gotei take out the fearsome Menos. Furthermore, Donosei made the until-then unheard of suggestion of having 4th Division accompany the rest of the Gotei out to the battlefield, to use their healing abilities more quickly, with 7th and 10th Divisions backing them up as protection. However, all in all, this was a dangerous gamble, as doing this would leave Seireitei almost totally defenseless. However, in the end, it was agreed upon that if the Hollow devastation continued, that Seireitei would likely be finished anyway. So General Yamamoto ordered all the remaining Divisions into battle, with the eleven Captains at the helm."

"What followed then was a war of attrition that lasted for nearly four full years. The Shinigami were much more well trained now than they were during the First Reckoning, and the smaller Hollows were eliminated easily with some organization, though the Gotei suffered heavy losses as well. The Hollows were unintelligent, but fiercely strong and they outnumbered the Shinigami over 50 to 1. In response to the demand for soldiers, 8th Division threw open the Academy's doors to anyone from Rukongai who wanted to fight. Most of these new recruits ended up as cannon fodder, but there were several exceptions, one to be mentioned later. Ken'ichi Donosei soon became the first man to slay a Menos Grande, and nearly all the Captains soon joined him. It took a long time, but slowly, as the powerhouse Menos were defeated, the Shinigami gained the upper hand, but not without significant casualties. Xiang Kai Le was killed in battle defending a surprise attack on 4th Division, and Oniroku Shiba sacrificed himself to drive back an excursion of Hollows that had penetrated into Seireitei. All in all, only approximately 100 Shinigami remained at the end of the Second Reckoning, counting all the Rukongai who had joined during open enlistment."

"The effects of the Second Reckoning were immediately apparent. Oniroku Shiba's elder son, Mutsuki, took his position as Captain of 7th Division, while his younger son, Kokuto, petitioned General Yamamoto for the creation of a 12th Division, one that specialized in Scientific Research that would further his father's work and possibly prevent a Third Reckoning from occurring. In addition, 5th Division Captain Ukitake, fascinated by the different specialties between the Divisions, asked the General for permission to create a Division with no specialty, or rather, a Division that specialized in everything. A versatile Division that could fill in any role on the battlefield and augment any of the other Divisions where necessary. The General agreed, and Ukitake became the first and, to this day, only Captain of 13th Division. And the Gotei has remained in its modern form, thirteen Divisions, ever since."

"To commemorate, the Devilslayers' Memorial was built and placed in the courtyard of the Academy. On the memorial are listed the names of Shinigami who slew Menos Grande during the Second Reckoning, as well as the number of Menos they killed." At this, Isane started to write names on the board again. "Leading the way was Ken'ichi Donosei, who alone killed nearly a third of the 34 Menos that invaded Soul Society. After him came General Yamamoto himself with six Menos killed, then 3rd Division Captain Kenzo Sugiura, who became well known as a hero in Rukongai for singlehandedly defending a 63rd District village from a Menos attack, with a total of 4 Menos killed."

"Then came the children of Kamisuke Shihouin, his daughter and the elder sibling, Katsuya, and his son, Jirou, the younger, with three Menos kills apiece. Captain Ukitake slew two Menos. And the remaining six Menos were slain one apiece by Captain Kyouraku, Captain Le, Captain Shiba, Mutsuki Shiba, Jun Kuchiki's son Koniro, and a total unknown from the 76th District of Rukongai, a notoriously ill-mannered man by the name of Setsurou Hirako."

Ken'ichi Donosei - 10
Shigekuni Yamamoto - 6
Kenzo Sugiura - 4
Jirou Shihouin - 3
Katsuya Shihouin - 3
Junshirou Ukitake - 2
Setsurou Hirako - 1
Koniro Kuchiki - 1
Shunsui Kyouraku - 1
Xiang Kai Le - 1
Mutsuki Shiba - 1
Oniroku Shiba - 1

"All that was left was to fill the remaining Captain's chairs. Koniro Kuchiki, of course, ascended to the seat of 6th Division, and Xiang Kai Le's third officer, a devout Catholic by the name of Marcus Viridis, became Captain of 9th Division. And, much to the chagrin of many in Soul Society, especially the Nobles, General Yamamoto offered Junshirou Ukitake's now-vacant seat as Captain of 5th Division to the 'Ignoble Devilslayer,' Setsurou Hirako."

"However, the position of 2nd Division Captain was more difficult to fill. General Yamamoto supported Kamisuke Shihouin's daughter Katsuya, being the elder, as the next Captain. However, much of the noble elite, as well as many within the Gotei itself, felt that a woman would be unsuited to the leadership of a combat Division. Indeed, throughout the entire history of the Gotei to this point, Retsu Unohana had been the only female Gotei Captain, a position that was only tolerated due to her leadership of the Medical corps. Instead, these detractors supported Kamisuke's son Jirou as the next Captain. The debate raged for many years after the end of the Second Reckoning, with no conclusion or compromise ever being met."

"These troubles were complicated when, just seven years after the end of the Second Reckoning, Ken'ichi Donosei completely disappeared."

"Disappeared?" asked one student.

Isane nodded. "It's one of the greatest mysteries in all the history of Soul Society. Ken'ichi Donosei, one of the strongest, most powerful heroes ever to exist as a Shinigami, vanished without a trace in the year 677. Many theories abound, of course, the most popular being that he was somehow killed. Though it's difficult to imagine how someone who could slay ten Menos Grande could be killed very easily, it is possible. Also, there was no evidence anywhere of the use of his zanpakutou, which tore the Earth asunder whenever it was activated, which means he would have been killed without a struggle, something that simply could not have been imagined. Others say that he left Soul Society and became a nameless wanderer, believing he would never experience another battle as fierce as the Second Reckoning. Whatever the reason, Donosei's absence left a major power vacuum that many scrambled to fill. Ken'ichi's Lieutenant Iwata held the position for a short time, taking the title 'Ken'ni Iwata,' styled after Donosei's name, but he was killed not long after. Four separate individuals each claimed the title of 'Kensan,' but all were killed by one who called himself 'Kenshi Uetsu.' Uetsu's position was more secure, but still not unchallenged. A powerful Shinigami from the noble house of Torizo also claimed the title of 'Kenshi.' The nobles, of course, supported Torizo, while most commoners supported Uetsu."

"The stage had been set for conflict, and it wouldn't be 20 years from the end of the Second Reckoning that the first Civil War, the one Yamamoto and his followers had always strove to prevent, would tear Soul Society in half."

"Kotetsu-sensei!" Kazu raises his hand. "I am afraid I must correct you on christian history. It's only a minor correction, and has little to do, but since you brought it up, it is my duty to correct. The number of the beast is not 666 as many people believe, and indeed, as many Christians believe. Back then, even in 600 A.D. the original Greek and Latin versions of the Book of Revelations -where you get the number of the beast- was actually 616, corresponding to the Alpha Numeric spelling of Caesar-Emperor Nero. It was a mistranslation into Hebrew, then later English, and according to some, a later mistranslation into Latin, that actually gave us the number 666.
"Being that a Grecian priestess summoned me to the Earthly realm, I thought it only necessary to correct the numerical evaluation. Please forgive my intrusion!" Kazu smiles.

(ooc sorry but I forgot some critical information)

He....disappeared? A feeling of unexplainable dread suddenly washed over Matsuura when she stated that, causing him to blurt out the question. He was in shock, and he couldn't explain why. Everything afterward became a haze of scrambled words his brain was unable to comprehend.

A nudge from Rumiko brought his attention to her and caused him to look over.

"A..e...u...k..y?" A look of slight concern on her face.

He stared at her for a moment before shaking his head to clear his thoughts.

"What..?"

"You alright Matsu?" She whispered to him. It took him a bit to understand the question, his mind struggling to get rid of the wrench stuck between the gears.

"Uh...yea...just fine." He responded, but it sounded like another question, as if he himself wasn't sure. But then again, he wasn't. Why did it bother him so much that this man from the past disappeared?

Thoughts of death and redeath and reincarnation and heaven and hell swirled about Rumiko's mind, never quite answering themselves. And where was the rest of the world? From what she had seen of Soul Society, the only people here were J-

"Disappeared?"

Rumiko broke out of her trance from Matsu's rather loud question. Looking over at him, she saw his face paler than usual, as though all the blood had drained from his body. He was translucent, nearly, and his expression was one of shock and unease. She asked if he was okay, genuinely worried for him, and his response didn't do anything to convince her that he really was "just fine".

Did he have some sort of connection to the great Ken'ichi Donosei? Or was it that he disappeared that upset Matsu so greatly? She listened to Kotetsu's explanations of what could have happened to the powerful captain. All conjecture. It was interesting to her, though, that no one seemed to think that something might have happened to take him out of Soul Society and, indeed, the Earth as well. Perhaps he was dragged down to Hell. She wondered what level he would be in were he there. Or perhaps he decided that the greatest fight he could have would be against his own comrades, the other captains, and left to go train for such a historic battle. You can never really know what makes a person leave, she thought. Not without asking them.

Glancing over at Matsu again, she saw that his expression hadn't changed. "If you're not feeling well, we may have to put off our spar," she whispered softly, trying to gauge his reaction. Usually, Matsu wouldn't hear of such a thing. Hopefully, that would snap him out of whatever mood he was in.

The words didn't even phase Matsu, his mind still reeling, trying to grasp for answers that he couldn't find or even just weren't there.

You're pathetic.

What...?

Look at you. Freaking out over a little, trivial fact. Its disgusting. You want to get anywhere in life?

Yea...I mean...

Then get over it. You can't seek vengeance like this, you can't protect people and you sure as hell can't cut down evil where it stands. You need training, I need training. Wake up and face reality, quit living in this train of thought, its disturbing and frankly embarrassing.

The words cut deep, but he let them sink in and have their effects. The grasping stopped, his mind regained balance, throwing out the wrench. Everything returned to how it was.

He glanced over at Rumiko, giving her one of his lopsided grins.

"Like I would ever pass up a chance to spar with you, Mon Chéri."

Ballad of Davy Crockett

The Ballad of the Seireitei

Died on earth prior

Bloody combat
there came a war-ar-ning
From Division Two
To the sei-rei-tei!
January first
Six hundred sixty six A.D.
Me-nos, ME-NOS Gran-de
Through dangai to the sei-rei-tei!

In fifty- thousand
a ram-pa-ahnt wave
add-in' nasty Gillians
to the hol-lows rage
Now hol-lows murderin

Sachi turned her paper sideways drawing a little tally for the Captain's Menos kills in the margin. 3... 4.. 10 Menos Grande?

Sachi frowned, closing her eyes and trying to imagine herself in that battle. She could picture the end; standing there in some desolate Rukongai field, covered in a rediculous amont of blood. Moon hanging low in the sky, sword at her side, Meno's howling as they retreated and so on. That was easy to fantasize about. It was when she tried to picture realistically, how exactly she would kill one that things got messy.

Sachi as a bloodstain on the ground from being trampled by hallow. Sachi burnt to a crisp from a cero. Sachi in several pieces for accidently stepping in the way a more powerful Shingami's attack. Canon-Fodder didn't sound like a pleasent role at all. She looked over the kill tally once more, and with a small cheeky grin she added Sachi Oyashio to the bottom, with a number yet to be filled in beside it. So, I simply become powerful enough that I can see a way to beat them, and then I wont be fodder for anyone, right. Easy-Peasy

If some stupid out-dated families could do that much, than she just had to kill more. 5..6... 20 Menos? It probably wasn't impossible. No, I'll definately, hack them all up She grinned, drawwing a messy doodle of herself launching towards the wobbly menos Against the Unstoppable Oyashio, the poor Meno's won't stand a chance!

Ah. Wait is the teacher still talking? Sachi remember that she was still in class, with a start. She straightened up and stomped her feet a little under the desk, trying to prevent her legs from falling asleep.Ugh, right, learning. Boy, this class feels like it been going on for weeks

"Lieutenant!" Isane was interrupted by a panicked yell from the doorway. Standing there was... well, Isane wasn't sure *who* she was, just that she looked very out of breath and very freaked out about something.

"What is--," Isane started.

"It's an emergency!" the girl interrupted again. "One of the kids from 3-A got his throat cut in a training match! They need you in the medical ward immediately!"

Isane paused, taking a moment to register what the girl had just said. "Right." She closed her attendance book. "Class, go ahead and take lunch early, then report to Lt. Omaeda's class this afternoon. And make sure to study, there might be a test next class," she said as she followed the girl hurriedly out the door.

The sound of an old television and a loud belly laugh echoed from the 3-B training hall. It was a familiar sound to the 3-B students.

As they filed into the hall, Lieutenant Omaeda was on his side, his back to the door. His right hand propped his head up, his elbow resting on a pillow on the ground. He barely noticed his students entering the room as he watched some old comedy on his little 18 inch black and white television, shoveling potato chips into his mouth in between laughs with his other hand.

"Huh?" he grunted, looking back over his shoulder. "Oh, is it after lunch already?" He turned back to the TV, waving them off dismissively. "Just... spar with each other or something. Oh..." He pointed at a piece of paper taped to the wall. "If you wanna fight in the first round of the Homecoming tournament, you gotta sign up there."

That was all the Lieutenant said as he ate another handful of chips and stared at the TV, his eyes slightly glazed.

Matsuura walked over and hastily penned his name onto the sheet of paper before walking a bit away and getting Rumiko's attention.

He bowed mockingly to her as if in courtesy before a dance, "Shall we?" He asked, hand resting on the hilt of his zanpakutou, ready to spar even if the teacher wasn't paying attention and the others were still filing into class.

Byouko's eyes never left her book as her feet navigated by memory into the classroom. Omaeda-sensei was watching TV again. That meant this would be an easy class. Byouko liked classes where she didn't have to do anything.

"Just let me sign up first. God you're impatient," Byouko heard the class rep say. She glanced up from the pages to see Rumiko writing her name on a piece of paper. It was something about homecoming, and Matsuura and Kazu had already put their names down. Byouko shrugged and wrote her own name there after theirs. She put her pen away and, once again engrossed in reading, her feet moved once again by memory to the far corner of the room where she sat, leaning against the wall a little, her eyes never leaving the pages.

Sachi bounced up in her spot waiting for the others to get themselves out of her way. Nicking a pen out of Sydney stuff, she pushed her way to the front of the class. After a little thought she wrote her name in the margin above Matsura's. She was now at the top of the list. She had also wrote it big enough that anyone else would be hard pressed to fit their own name in above hers.

Hah! Take that!

She supposed this was the part where she should sit down, but she was too engergetic feeling. She was torn between seeing who else signed up and challenging Rumiko to a fight right now. On one hand, vengence, fighting, blood! It seemed as natural now, to Sachi as breathing, and she couldn't be out of practice. Omeada-san had as good as given them the permission to do whatever that wanted in that respect. On the the other hand, Rumiko was talking to Matsura, and Sachi waasn't looking forward to another round of verbal abuse, from that guy. That dude could throw a hissy-fit and half.

Urgh, this is stupid. Beyond stupid. Gotta do something. anything.

With a few quick movements she pushed her way through classmates again untill she was in front of Matsura and Rumiko. She pulled here sheathed sword out it's chain restraints and pointed it at them grinning in a way that most would discribe as rather scary. "Well as long as it's just 'spar with each other or something' why not make it interesting. A 3 person, free for all, no holds barred and so forth."

((I don't know if it even allowed, it just seemed like something Sachi would do XD))

Akara walked into the class room and ignored Omaeda as he walked to the list and wrote down his name . Akara walked over to a seat but heard something that made him what to do something else "Well as long as it's just 'spar with each other or something' why not make it interesting. A 3 person, free for all, no holds barred and so forth." Akara turned around, he wanted to spar no one to spar with was in the class room. Akara walked up to the three, "How about four ways?" Akara said, grabbing his sword well still leaving it incased, “That’s got to make things interesting!" he said enthusiastically.

Matsuura turned to the two newcomers, his hand falling from the hilt of his sword. He eyed them both for a moment as if considering the proposition. He placed his hand back on the hilt as he glanced over at Rumiko.

"How about..... you let the adults talk while you kiddies go play over there." He responded, shooing them both away with his free hand, before addressing Rumiko. "Kids these days, no manners."

When he noticed neither were going to retreat, he sighed. "Fine, I'll be nice this time. You kiddies can play right here." He grabbed Rumiko's arm and started to walk away with her to find another spot to spar at.

When he arrived at the opposite side of the room, he left go of Rumiko's arm and took a few steps back. "There, that should have fixed that. Now we can start." He told her cheerfully, hand on hilt again.

Rumiko raised an eyebrow in Matsu's general direction. She would've thought that he would jump at the chance to fight against two others, especially someone he found as annoying as Sachi. Pounding her face into the dirt seemed like something that he would jump at the chance for, actually. Sachi was too childish for her tastes, someone that she would only play games with, and someone who she knew would take it very badly were she to be beaten. Sachi's worth to Rumiko lay in her entertainment value and a 3 way spar did sound entertaining.

Akara, she really didn't know much about. He seemed quiet, and she had no idea at all about his fighting style or his technique, anything.

"You sure you want to pass this up?" Rumiko asked Matsu as he dragged her away. "We haven't seen what they can do. It could prove amusing and it should be good practice for the tournament...and if you don't want to do a free-for-all, we can just team up and beat them down."

"Too many annoying distractions for it to be a good fight. Sides, the tournament is one on one. The idea in a free for all is to be opportunistic and take advantage of someone being distracted by someone else. You don't have that in a one on one, so fighting in a free for all doesn't provide as much of a worthwhile experience. But if you insist. Sachi should come charging any moment now." Matsuura explained in a bored tone, running his free hand through his hair as he sighed. "I need a cigarette..."

It was very hard to resist the urge to stomp or something else, equally silly, but my gods! Those two, looking down there collect nose at her, was so aggravating. Expecially Matsura, who knew he was so possessive of Rumiko?

Argh, now they were talking about something, she couldn't hear it but she doubted it was flattering. She couldn't resist any longer, "Chickens! Who took a piss in your Soba this morning. Matsura Ryou? I hope you both cleave each others heads off, so none of us have to hear your pretenious yapping anymore."

With a huff she turned around pointing her sheathed sword at Akara. "You better get that sword up or get out of my way, as I have the strong urge to kill something right now."

((heh, Rumiko and Matsu sure do bring out the best in Sachi, don't they XD. I love writing her immature side too much though so that doesn;t help either))

Well he sounds plenty confident Sachi scowled Defensive type maybe?

She wasn't sure if they were jumping the gun, but he had accepted the challenge, and she was going to blow up at someone anyway. It was time she fought something. Though she really really hoped she wouldn't lose as she would most likey spend the rest of the year with Matsura mocking her for it.

Grinning again, she grabbed the hilt of her sword with both hands and attacked, swinging the sheathed sword baseball bat style aiming for Akara head.

It seemed as if there was a fight going on.

There always seemed to be fights around this place.

It was hard to focus on the words on the page over the ringing of clashing steel and the sound of feet jumping all throughout the room. Byouko glanced up over the top of the page. The same old pair-offs. Rumiko and Matsuura. And Akara and Byouko's roommate. Omaeda-sensei was ignoring all of it.

Byouko looked back down at her book. I wonder how he tunes them all out, she wondered.
